Mission Statement

The mission of M-Horton Clothing and Accessories is to bring unique, stylish and quality clothing manufactured locally to active urban individuals. M-Horton is founded on conserving resources, community development and fostering creativity. To achieve our goals decision making is based on the following ideals:

  • Making garments that last for years in both construction and style.
  • Use of recycled, renewable, organic or low carbon footprint materials, when feasible.
  • Openly discussing materials and sourcing in the decision making process so consumers have the option to understand where the materials come from and why they were selected to encourage more thoughtful consumption.
  • Provide all employees with a true living wage.
  • Provide all employees with a venue to express their creativity through design submission and product development opportunities.
  • Building the community through classes and workshops as well as participating in community building events.
  • Maintaining a do-it-yourself attitude by building as much in-house production as possible and by providing customers with options to build or embellish products themselves.
